PRODUCT DESIGN

The activity with the longest trajectory within the DBZ focuses on product design, where the human-centered approach is the main axis for creating products with high added value.

To this end, various resources and lines of research are available:

  • Analysis/diagnostic tools to identify user needs in the environment and according to social, market and cultural trends.
  • Tools for the conceptualisation and formal development of the product..
  • Rapid prototyping resources to develop aesthetic and functional prototypes, which through design validation techniques help to detect useful insights in the definition of the product.
  • Parametric modelling methodologies that increase CAD efficiency in solid and surface modelling.
  • Design methodology for DFA-SPDP assembly.
