Prototyping Workshop

PROTOTYPING WORKSHOP

The prototyping workshop has different workspaces with specific facilities for hand tools, laser cutting and 3D printing. The workshop has a paint booth, 3D printing room (Photocentric Magna and Stratasys Dimension), laser cutting (Framun FL1409), manual and electric pneumatic tools for milling, sanding, drilling and cutting.

LASER CUTTING MACHINE

Together with Lightburn design, editing and control software, the Framun FL1409 laser cutter can import artwork in a variety of common vector graphics and image formats (including AI, PDF, SVG, DXF, PLT, PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP) for further cutting, applying settings such as power, speed, number of passes, cutting order, brightness and contrast. The engraving speed is 1000 mm/sec and the cutting speed is 680 mm/sec.

3D PRINTING MACHINES

High-capacity 3D printers inside that enable customised mass production and printing of large components. BST 1200 and Liquid cristal Magna Photocentric are available.

PAINT BOOTH

The paint booth is an enclosed space, set up to work on the finishing of the prototypes, which has a particle absorption panel.
